Bunkermeets will host the first DEBOX Labelnight @ Goethebunker, Essen on October 31, 2009. Ware Labelhead Mathias Schaffhaeuser, who has just finished a brilliant remix for Bregers upcoming release on DEBOX will head up the bill, followed by London/ Berlin based producer duo Apples&Pears and Breger himself. On the second floor, everybody’s darling Daniel Kampf is set to perform a 4 hour b2b house set with DEBOX A&R Fabian Bussmann and last but not least we are looking forward to the performance of prodigy Christian Schwarz who will make his DJ debut.
To promote the upcoming release, DEBOX offers a free mp3-download. Simply send an email to SCHWARZ@DEBOX-MUSIC.COM to get a free copy of Christian Schwarz’s exclusive radio edit before the official release date or visit debox-music.com for further information. You can prelisten the track here:
On occasion of Monsieur Ali’s birthday party, Jan Heybowitz, Benjamin Martel & Oliver Mahlich realised a promotional photo project featuring DIK members and friends styled as mustache wearing crooks. All people involved cultivated mustaches for the shooting -most would keep them afterwards… Photos were shot using a Canon 1d MKIII.
Almost two years after his highly acclaimed debut, Fabian Bussmann is back with a release on DEBOX. And the waiting was worthwhile! Sometimes I’m Invisible is a remarkable piece of work and shows an recognizable advancement in Fabians production skills. “Or Else” on the A- side is predestinated to be played on a big sound system. Dark, athmospeheric, reverberated with lots of freaky delays and effects and equipped with a powerful bassline the track creates a tension that will surely massively discharge on the dancefloors this summer. The remix on the B- side was created by Bastian Buesser who recently attracted a lot of attention with his releases on DEBOX and Endlich Elektro. Buessers interpretation of the track is a deeper, more playful approach of the theme. Without touching the basic structure of the track he constructs a more relaxed, athomospheric vibe, taking back the tempo and adding a new bassline to the adaption. The title track “Sometimes I’m Invisible” clearly distinguishes from the the A- side and presents a different side of Fabians work coming along with a groovy bassline and lots of percussive elements… but listen for yourselves:
